Lin Xinye
is an award-winning multidisciplinary healing artist, bio-architectural designer, musician, and book author whose work fuses ancient traditions with futuristic innovations. Through 2D digital art, interactive media, 3D architectural installations, wearable art, and large-scale immersive spaces, she creates transformative experiences that rejuvenate the mind, body, and soul.
Rooted in Chinese Yin-Yang philosophy, holistic healing principles, and advanced technology, Xinye’s art bridges the physical and metaphysical, offering audiences an immersive journey into sensory healing and self-exploration.
With multiple fellowships from both China and the USA, she earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Urban Planning before studying Furniture Design at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. She later obtained a Master’s in Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), one of the world’s top art and design institutions.
After graduation, she earned her scientific research fellowship at Terreform ONE—one of New York’s leading bio-architectural labs at Brooklyn Navy Yard— where she collaborated with biologists, architects, and scientists to study the bio-structural systems of Monarch butterflies. Specializing in parametric bio-structure research, she developed nature-inspired methodologies that continue to influence her art today.
This exploration of biology, computational design, and sustainable architecture became the foundation for her transition into multisensory art, interactive media, and advanced spatial design. By merging architectural methodologies with healing arts, she developed a distinct artistic language—one that integrates nature-inspired algorithms, immersive installations, and holistic well-being practices, shaping transformative spaces that bridge science, technology, and human emotion.
Multidimensional Art: From 2D Visuals to Large-Scale Immersive Spaces
Xinye’s work dissolves the boundaries between physical and metaphysical realities, inviting audiences into sensorial environments that inspire introspection and emotional transformation. Her creations span multiple scales:
2D Art & Digital Media – abstract paintings, algorithmic visuals, and mixed-media works exploring energy flow, nature, and emotional resonance.
3D Sculptures & Wearable Art – bridging traditional craftsmanship with generative design, transforming cultural symbolism into tactile, sensorial experiences.
Large-Scale Interactive & Immersive Installations – sensory-driven environments incorporating projections, sound, spatial design, and audience participation, turning entire spaces into meditative and therapeutic realms.
Live Performance Art & Sound Healing – blending Xinye’s 28 years of Guzheng experience with chanting, sound healing, and interactive projections, crafting performances that are felt, experienced, and interacted with.
Her renowned series "Kaleidoscopic Meditation", showcased at NYC Times Square, CHSA Museum, CICA Museum and Digital Graffiti Festival etc. It merges sound healing techniques with butterfly eyes’ structure inspired visual art, allowing audiences to step into a visual and sonic landscape of meditative immersion.
